Premise: Chris and Lucy are an item and Lucy has just told Chris she's pregnant.

Lucy looked at Chris. She was searching his face to see if he was angry, happy, sad at the news she had just given him. He was hiding it well. Finally he spoke.
"How long have you known?"
"A couple of days."
"And you're sure?"
"Yes, my period was late and I did the test."
"You're on the pill?"
"Yes I know Chris, yes I have taken it, yes I'm just as shocked as you are as to how this has happened."
"You're sure its mine?"
Lucy couldn't believe what she was hearing. She got up off her chair. "I'm not even gonna begin to answer that. I'd never lie to you. I love you." With that Lucy went upstairs leaving Chris alone.
Chris found Lucy lying on the bed. Next to her were alot of screwed up tissues. He could hear her sobbing and it made him mad that he'd been the cause of that.
Chris sat down on the edge of the bed and turned to face her "I'm sorry. I don't know why I said that. It was out of order. I take it all back."
"It was probably the shock."
"Does anybody else know?"
"No." Lucy wiped her eyes and sat up next to Chris.
"Well we have got ourselves into a mess haven't we?"
Lucy nodded her head.
"Now don't get mad with me, but I have to ask. Do you want this baby?"
"I can't have an abortion Chris, I'm sorry, I just can't. I mean I know that inside its only the size of a pea or something but its a life and I don't want to kill a life. I don't want to be the same as that bastard that murdered Jeremy." Fresh tears fell from her eyes. Lucy bowed her head and played nervously with a tissue in her hands.
Chris put an arm around her and pulled her close to him. "I'm glad you said that." Lucy looked up at him "what?" she asked "I'm glad that you don't want an abortion. We'll cope Lucy. I can't think of anyone more perfect to have a child with. I've loved you all my life. We're best friends as well as lovers and I made a promise that I'd never hurt you. You're not going to go through this on your own. I'm gonna be at your side. That's if you'll have me?"
"I wouldn't want this any other way. I love you." Lucy put both her arms around Chris and held him tight.
"I love you too." Chris broke away from Lucy's hold and bent his head towards her stomach "And I love you." he gave her stomach a gentle pat.
